NEVER LET ANYONE DULL YOUR SPARKLE.
Even when you’re so tired you cannot string a sentence together. Even when the thought of making yet ANOTHER dinner makes you want to quit life. And even when you have to get up for work but that stupid alarm clock will not shut its pesky little mouth- do no give up.
This thing called life is hard! And by hard I mean impossibly hard. Like rock solid, do not budge molasses on a cold day in an ice box hard. The only thing that you and you only possess is your inner strength- your sparkle if you will. You’re the only one who can use that little voice and say “ok let’s do this”. So what if your kid has a fever, your tire is flat and- oh yeah awesome- you spilled hot chocolate on your silk blouse right before a meeting with the boss (like really?) You can do this!
SHINE
But damn it all you can still shine! You can still be you and show the world all you have to offer. And no one can take that away from you. No one. You may have days where your sparkle is harder to find- but it is still there just waiting to be re-discovered. You may have to dig deep, crawl out of a deep hole or swim out of a cove but that sparkle is still solely in your possession. Grab it and own it!
I picked up this pen at Barnes and Noble and the clerk said “every queen needs her scepter” and man did that make my day. Not because I think I am some sort of ruler- because that reminded me that I am the one that controls my destiny. And man has this been tested this past year. Bad days come and thankfully bad days go- but I have to remember that my sparkle is always there. So is yours.
