Since launching a blog, things have been exciting around these parts (think Christmas morning and getting into your first school choice feelings combined)! The support is more than awesome and overwhelming! Not going to lie- I have for sure teared up here and there with reading people’s encouragement and accolades towards my latest adventure in life. Cue tissues and squeals of joy here.
The simply answer to the question about why I started a blog is this: I’m selfish and wanted a hobby just for me. No frills, no pretty explanations, no lies. I live a fairly standard woman’s life these days with a husband, a career, and a family. My head spins thinking of all of the dots on my calendar. Can a girl get 30 minutes to herself? Sigh, sigh and another sigh.
All of my friends are just like me. When we finally get out to dinner- we always chat (ok complain) about time and the lack there of. But we don’t want to lose who we are and what we love to do. For me, hello KellyMacLilac! On here, I get to talk about all the stuff I like and I think others may like it too. And if you like it enough- maybe you subscribe and become a LILAC LOYAL.
And how fun is that? We all get to come here and take a bit of time for ourselves to congregate, create and communicate. That’s all folks. That’s the big reason behind the blog! I guess I’m not as mysterious and cool as I thought. Kind of like that time I did a dance to “Thriller” and my torn sweatpants split in half on stage but I still rocked it hardcore like I was a Michael Jackson back-up dancer.
