Summer safety (and summer safe products) in my home is in full effect! With the warm weather at its peak, there are a few items that come into focus and to the forefront since summer brings about special beauty concerns. We all want great ray protection, smooth legs and of course that sun-kissed glow! But how do we get all of these coveted things without slapping on a million unsafe chemicals?
Well, have no fear my friends, I am here to help. Big sigh of relief! I have discovered a company that is dedicated to providing safer products while also producing quality beauty items. I know right? Too good to be true? Heck no! It’s called BEAUTYCOUNTER and if you haven’t yet heard of them you need to check them out right now. I was introduced through a colleague and started using their products primarily for the “safe” factor (they have strict rules/regulations and even have a “no use” chemical list). I’m pretty picky and I’m also a sensitive skin person, so I need to be careful for me and my family. But let’s be honest with each other- the stuff has to work and look good too. For me personally, these products give me results and they now have a permanent home in my make-up kit, shower and linen cabinet.

SUNSCREEN
I apply sunscreen to myself and my Little Diva every day and this formula does the trick. It spreads well and smells amazing. Also, a “safer” product, and the bottle is large. Each of the grandparents have a bottle for the pool, beach or playground.
SHAVING CREAM
I tried this product on a whim and now it’s on my shower shelf for life. It has a light citrus sent, a creamy texture that is a perfect shave consistency and again- a “safer” product. I also like the fact that it squeezes out and is not in a rust prone container.
BRONZER
The color is great but not over-powering. I tend to use more bronzer in the summer than in other seasons and this one works wonderfully. They have a few shades to pick from which is perfect as all of us have different skin tones and requirements.
